UK’s Dead Island: Riptide Special Edition Revealed
Dead Island: Riptide‘s special edition was previously announced for North America, but now UK gets their own version of the collection!
UK’s edition will come with a bloody torso figurine, wearing a bikini consisting of their flag. This version is also titled differently. Unlike North America’s version, this one is called, “Zombie bait”.
“Dead Island: Riptide is one of the most anticipated releases of the year and is set to build on the original’s reputation for OTT action, dark humour and brutal zombie bashing,” says Deep Silver sales and marketing director Paul Nicholls. “We wanted to provide a unique collector’s edition that was utterly ‘Dead Island’ and would make a striking conversation piece on any discerning zombie gamer’s mantel.”

Dead Island: Riptide’s First Trailer Released
The first trailer from Dead Island: Riptide has been released.
“Furious monsoon rainstorms have laid waste to the island of Palanai in the Banoi archipelago, waters have risen and caused a flood disaster — because of this and the raging zombie invasion, a rescue mission for the survivors seems to be without prospect of success. All hope seems to have been lost for the surviving humans…”
The game will be released sometime in 2013.
New Dead Island Game Announced!
A new Dead Island game has been announced. The game is titled Dead Island: Riptide and is currently under development by Techland. FZ reports that the game will probably have a big uncovering later this summer with both a trailer and some other things. You may remember that we previously reported that there was no new Dead Island game in sight? Well, now you know that they weren’t telling the truth, per say.
We currently do not know on which consoles the game will be released on. There was a hint that it will be released on PC and the “other consoles”, meaning PS3, Xbox 360 and perhaps Wii-U?
