Bethesda’s New Game: Shinji Mikami’s The Evil Within
The Evil Within, created by Shinji Mikami, will be Bethesda‘s new game. The debut trailer is live on IGN! In addition to the debut trailer, Bethesda has stated the game will be revealed fully on April 22nd. The game is being developed by Shinji Mikami and the Japanese studio Tango Gameworks. The trailer is a bit… bloody and weird. If you watched it, let me know your thoughts about it.

Left 4 Dead 2/Resident Evil 6 Crossover Available Now
The Left 4 Dead 2/Resident Evil 6 crossover is now officially released. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you may want to read this.
One of the best things about these modes are that it’s completely free, albeit limited to PC players only.
Resident Evil 6 & Left 4 Dead 2 Crossover Announced
A crossover between Resident Evil 6 & Left 4 Dead 2 has been announced.
Valve‘s FPS will be receiving enemies from RE6, and Capcom‘s RE6 will receive L4D2′s four main characters. However, this crossover is exclusive to PC (sorry console fans!) since the Resident Evil 6 mode this will be available for is ‘Mercenaries No Mercy‘. The new mode will also feature Witch and Mini Tank Special Infected characters. Valve players can look forward to battling creatures such as Lepotitsa, Napad, and Ogroman – all created in Steam‘s workshop.
“We’re huge Resident Evil fans, so when the opportunity arose to work directly with Capcom to combine L4D2 and RE6, we jumped at it,” says Valve’s Chet Faliszek.
These specific content modes will be available for free. Resident Evil 6 players can look forward to the new content on April 5th. The Valve content is having a spring release attached to the content, although nothing specific has been mentioned.
Capcom Halves Expected DmC Sales
Capcom has halved the expected sales for DmC: Devil May Cry.
The estimated two million copies were cut down to 1.2 million copies. The game did grab the number 1 spot in the UK Charts, but it only held it for 1 week.
It’s not the first time Capcom has overestimated sales for a game. When Resident Evil 6 was released, the company expected it to sell 7 million units by April. However, three months to go and the game is still at 4.8 million units.

Gameplay Trailer of Resident Evil 6′s Siege Mode
One of the new modes in Resident Evil 6, called “Siege Mode“, has been put on display in a recently uploaded video.
Siege sees a lone AI-controlled rookie BSAA agent in trouble and in need of help. Players will split into two teams with one assuming control of enemy creatures who are trying to take down the rookie, while the other team selects playable characters from the main game and must keep him alive. Each game consists of two rounds with teams switching between the human and enemy roles.
The extra content will be available to the game sometime in March for both Xbox 360 and PS3. The content has been priced at 320MSP/$3.99/€3.99/£3.19.

Resident Evil 6 Gets Updated With New Difficulty, Ada Wong Receives Co-op Partner
Resident Evil 6 will have a new difficulty mode added titled “No Hope.” The game will also be updated so that Ada Wong’s campaign will be available from the start, instead of when you have completed the three other campaigns. A co-op partner will also be added to Wong’s campaign, who this is remains to be seen.
The DLC is already available on the disc, but it’s locked and incomplete so you need to download the full files to access it.
“Some data of this update is on the disc, but said data is incomplete and requires the actual download to access. But again, free. Mercenaries costumes are residentevil.net unlocks. Simply register for the site and start earning RE points for those goodies,” Capcom said.
“Future paid DLC – like the multiplayer modes we revealed a while ago – is not on the disc. We said as much a month ago, but that point may have been lost in the shuffle.”
The DLC is also free, in case I forgot to mention it.

Capcom Busy Working on Resident Evil 6 PS3 Fix
Capcom is apparently busy working on a fix for the PS3 version of Resident Evil 6.
CVG reports that some people have experienced issues when trying to load the game if it was bought through PSN, and after the day one patch was downloaded.
Capcom released a statement to IGN, explaining that “essentially it is recognized that some consumers who downloaded the game from the PSN store pre-loaded (pre-order) or within the early hours of launch may be experiencing problems booting up the game. In short, early purchasers who tried to download the game from PSN store may have seen an error message, after they downloaded the day 1 patch.”
To temporarily fix this problem, uninstall and reinstall the game. However, only do so if you saw the error message first hand. This time around you won’t be prompted to download the patch, and therefore the game should start without any problems. The patch will also fix the access problems players who purchased through PSN had with RE.net

The company has stated that they got no plans to release any games on the Wii U. Pete Hines apparently also stated that they won’t release games on platforms that doesn’t support them. The Wii U will be missing out on a lot of games it seem. Neither Capcom‘s Resident Evil 6 or EA‘s Dead Space 3 will be released to the new platform.

Resident Evil 6 Comes With Five Campaigns
Resident Evil 6 will apparently come with five different campaigns.
The fifth campaign is apparently quite mysterious, and we got no idea who we will be playing as. However, the campaign is referred to as a “prelude”. The previous four campaigns are Leon’s, Chris’, Jake’s and Ada’s. It wouldn’t surprise me if the fifth campaign would be Jill’s campaign, mainly due to the absence of her in the news.
More Information on Resident Evil 6′s Agent Hunt Mode Revealed
Some more, in-depth, information about Resident Evil 6‘s Agent Hunt mode has been revealed.
We’ve previously been told that Ada Wong will have her own campaign, which is interlinked with the Agent Hunt mode. Capcom revealed a long list with how you can access the mode when playing the game this coming October.
- Complete the main campaigns for either Leon, Chris or Jake to then unlock the Agent Hunt stages for each of those respective campaigns.
- When creating a Resident Evil 6 gameplay session a player has the option to allow/not allow Agent Hunt.
- When a hunter searches for a session to join they will see whether or not other players from around the world want to allow hunters into their game.
- The hunter then picks another player’s session to join and jumps into that session (please note only certain stages will be available for Agent Hunt sessions).
- The agent side can be either a single human player with an AI partner, or two human players in co-op mode. Up to two separate hunters can join an Agent Hunt session. When a hunter dies they respawn in the same session as a different random enemy from that area.
- If the hunter eliminates the agent then they will be taken to a ‘hunt successful’ results screen where they can join another session if they wish.
- If the agent is eliminated then their game session will end exactly as if they had been playing a standard game session with CPU enemies.
- If the hunter quits the session then the agent’s game continues as normal with all AI enemies.
What do you think about this new gameplay mode?
Ada Wong Playable in Resident Evil 6
Ada Wong is reportedly going to be one of the playable characters in Resident Evil 6.
It was previously reported by Capcom that she would appear in this game. However, we didn’t know if it was just a guest appearance or a full campaign, until now that is. There’s a catch though, Wong won’t be playable until the player has completed the campaigns of the other three characters: Chris, Leon, Jake.
Through an online feature, you can encounter other players that are controlling Wong when playing the multiplayer of the other characters’ campaigns. Additionally, Wong’s campaign is a single player campaign only, so you will be unable to play with your friends.
Another online feature that was revealed is the new mode called “Agent Hunt”. In this new mode, you enter another player’s playthrough online in form of a creature, with the sole purpose of defeating them. Player-controlled creatures can also maintain a voice chat, which cannot be heard by the agent-controller players. Of course, you can simply turn it off as well, simply playing offline.
Check out the videos of Wong’s scenario and the “Agent Hunt” mode below:
