A statement on the Zombie Bait Edition:
We deeply apologize for any offense caused by the Dead Island Riptide “Zombie Bait Edition”, the collector’s edition announced for Europe and Australia. Like many gaming companies, Deep Silver has many offices in different countries, which is why sometimes different versions of Collector’s Editions come into being for North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
For the limited run of the Zombie Bait Edition for Europe and Australia, a decision was made to include a gruesome statue of a zombie torso, which was cut up like many of our fans had done to the undead enemies in the original Dead Island.
We sincerely regret this choice. We are collecting feedback continuously from the Dead Island community, as well as the international gaming community at large, for ongoing internal meetings with Deep Silver’s entire international team today. For now, we want to reiterate to the community, fans and industry how deeply sorry we are, and that we are committed to making sure this will never happen again.
My god, you people need to get your shit together. I’m not talking about Deep Silver, I’m talking about all the hypocrisy oozing from people out there. You can take people getting sliced up in a video game, both in Dead Island but also in Mortal Combat, Metal Gear Rising etc, yet you get “put off” by a figurine. If you’re going to condemn an inanimate object, then you should also condemn games which rips women into two halves, cleaves them from the pelvis and upwards. Stop being so self righteous and hypocritical!

Andriasang reports that Kojima productions will take the high route and bring forth a completely new trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for the event in Japan. Most companies would probably have reused the trailer used at Gamescom. Additionally, a new demo will also be presented at the gaming event.
The event takes place from September 20 through September 23, where the first two days are for the press only.

Kojima has confirmed that he will be indeed making a Metal Gear Solid 5. This time around, the game will run on a new Fox Engine.
The announcement came in an interview with the French IG magazine, an excerpt can be seen below:
“About Metal Gear Solid 5, I can tell you two things. There will be much question of infiltration, espionage, and convincing people to give you “a favor” like in the last Metal Gear Solid. I liked the idea of social interactions in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but we will see.”
However, nothing else was revealed such as a potential release date. Much of this Kojima himself joked about, saying that “the female ninja public relations officer, who is behind the door, will carve me into pieces”, should he talk more about it. Instead he stated that he will be back to talk about MGS5 during a more appropriate time.
In addition to talking about a new MGS game, Kojima also talked briefly about Metal Gear Rising: “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance never claimed to be a Metal Gear Solid. This is not a game about our beloved Solid Snake. It is a spinoff that tries something different. We have not yet finished with Solid Snake, despite the fact that I wanted to let him die at the end of Guns of the Patriots.”
What are your thoughts and opinions on this sequel?
