The first virtual sex game for Oculus Rift has been announced. The upcoming title is called Wicked Paradise which makes you a lot more immersed in the “story” than before. The video game is described as the following:
- Imagine playing Leisure Suit Larry but instead of watching a screen, you are inside the game.
- Imagine the world and its inhabitants look highly realistic.
- Imagine walking into a bar in Wicked Paradise, noticing a beautiful lady, talking to her, and seducing her.
- Imagine playing your cards right and having passionate wild sex with her.
- Imagine all this in high quality, immersive virtual reality.
The game apparently launches sometime in 2014.
EA Will Reconsider Wii U Support Should it Sell Better
EA will be reconsidering their stance on the Wii U should the console sell more consoles. Joystiq sent out an inquiry to EA, asking whether or not games from EA would be released on the console. EA Labels president Frank Gibeau responded with rather harsh words. The response can be found below:
“Look, the only thing they can do to fix it is to sell more boxes. We’re a rational company, we go where the audience is. We publish games where we think we can make a great game and hit a big audience, and make money. That’s why we’re here, that’s why we have an industry.”
“The Wii U, we shipped four games. We shipped Madden, FIFA, Need for Speed and Mass Effect. In fact, the last Need for Speed shipped 60 days ago had a pretty good Metacritic. It was a good game. It wasn’t a schlocky port, we actually put extra effort into getting everything to work. And it’s just not selling because there’s no boxes.”
He continued:
“Nintendo is a good partner and never count ‘em out and all that. Never count them out, but right now we’re focused on PS4 and Xbox One and from our perspective we’ll look at the Wii U, we’ll continue to observe it. If it becomes a viable platform from an audience standpoint, we’ll jump back in.”

BioWare Edmonton Planning New Franchise & Project
BioWare Edmonton is planning a new franchise, based in an entirely different fictional universe than the Mass Effect universe.

Mass Effect 3 Infographic Released – Male Shepard More Popular
An infographic of Mass Effect 3 has been released. In the infographic we find out that 64% of all of the players did not actually meet Wrex in the Mass Effect 3 campaign. How can you?! He’s awesome! Interestingly enough, 82% played a male Shepard, and only a small 18% played as a female Shepard. 27% choose to save the quarians, 27% choose to save the geth. 36% choose to save both races. Next Mass Effect Game Will Be “New & Fresh”
The next Mass Effect game will be “new and fresh”, or so BioWare executive producer Casey Hudson claims.
“We are starting to get ready to develop another Mass Effect game and it’s going to be a new thing,” Hudson said. “We want to be able to give fans an opportunity to get back into the world with these things you’ve come to know and love about the Mass Effect experience, but start something fresh and new; a new way for you to explore the whole universe in Mass Effect.”
It was also under the PAX East presentation that Hudson confirmed that the Mass Effect movie with Legendary Pictures remains in production. Despite the confirmation, no casting or release date has been announced.
“Hopefully it should be seen as a good thing,” Hudson said of the movie. “Because what we’re looking at are, I think, the right things to make sure it’s going to be great. It’s not just going to be a movie. It’s going to be really special.”
Lastly GameSpot reports that Hudson announced a new IP.
“That’s kind of our next thing. We’re focusing on delivering something new, the way we did at the very beginning of Mass Effect,” Hudson said.
BioWare Finished With Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Content
BioWare is officially done with Mass Effect 3 multiplayer content.
Even though the content supply is over, the servers will remain open ‘indefinitely’. Mass Effect senior producer Jonathan Warner wrote the following in a blog post on the website:
Hi Everyone,
My name is Jonathan Warner; I’m the Senior Producer on the Mass Effect franchise. I joined the Mass Effect Team when we launched ME3 and our Multiplayer Service and it has been a wonderful, wild ride!
It has been our pleasure to run and support this service for over a year now and provide the maps, kits, gear, and weapons that we all love. I wanted to thank everyone who played Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer, and participated in our challenges and events. You have made working on it a real pleasure.
After a solid year of dedicated service, we are now turning our attention to new projects and endeavors, but Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer will live on. Our challenge system and N7 HQ will be maintained and looked after.
Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you online!
Jonathan
Mass Effect Gets First On-Going Comic Book Series
Remember the teasers coming from Dark Horse Comics? Well, it has been announced that Mass Effect will get its first ongoing comic book series.
Titled Mass Effect: Foundation, it will be written by Mac Walters. Walters previously wrote four of the miniseries comic books. He was also the lead writer for Mass Effect 3.
The story of the comic book is still a mystery, but it’s quite a big possibility it’s not going to be about Commander Shepard.
