The Best Games for Mac Users
Macs are known for their graphical prowess and their exceptional ability to handle media and design software.
That makes it strange that the market for games on the Mac wouldn’t be more widespread than it is; however Mac gaming is slowly, but surely, gaining momentum as we’re seeing more and more popular titles being released for the Mac OS.
That is to say, the future for Mac gaming enthusiasts is bright, especially when you consider the sales performance and popularity of Apple’s computers and other gadgets. While gaming is still more heavily focused on iPad and iPhone app development, we’re likely to see more dual platform releases of popular titles in the near future for Mac and PC computers.
As more and more households have Mac computers, that number will continue to rise. In the meantime, there are already some great titles out there that Mac users can get their hands on. Here are five of the most notable titles that have been released for the Mac OS thus far:
1. Batman Arkham City — Often times, movie based games don’t have a lot of effort behind them, but the last two Batman games are refreshing exceptions. Not only are they great games by movie-to-game standards, but they’re just solid games, period.
Exceptional graphics and engaging gameplay make this one of the most fun and interesting single-player games available right now. If you have a Mac, buy it and give it a shot. You should also be able to download a demo viaSteam.
2. Assassins Creed 2 — The Assassins Creed series is one of the richest visual gaming experiences available, and they perform quite well on the more recent Mac configurations.
The third installment of the series hasn’t been released for Mac yet, but the second one is available and is a great start to pass the time until the third one is released. While the time frame for that release is unknown, it could come sometime this year.
3. BioShock — The initial BioShock game was most popular on the PC before recent additions were released for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The original game is still excellent and is available for the Mac OS. The game is one of the more unique FPS (first-person shooters) out there and it includes a lot of elements that you wouldn’t typically find in your average FPS.
4. Half Life 2 — Valve’s Half Life 2, despite being nearly 10 years old, is still one of the best first-person shooters available. It was ahead of its time, both in terms of technical specifications and creativity. Half Life 2 is the most recent (and probably last) of a series that was limited to only two and highly successful titles: Half Life and Half Life 2.
The game’s graphics are still considered pretty good (even by today’s standards) and should run smoothly on any Mac system that was built after 2005.
5. Call of Duty: Black Ops — Call of Duty is probably the most popular shooter franchise of our day and you can get one of the bestselling titles (Black Ops) for the Mac. Everything afforded to the PC version of the game is included, allowing you access to the single player campaign as well as the more popular multiplayer game modes.
While it would be nice to have other COD titles, like Modern Warfare 2 or 3, available on the Mac, we can expect those to be released as time passes and more COD games are developed. Although it seems as if the game selection for Macs is somewhat limited, Mac users are eagerly anticipating more games to be released in the near future.

[Review] Nokia Lumia 920 Case Compatible Charging Dock
This charging dock is compatible with Nokia Lumia 920, but also with other smartphones from both Samsung and LG. The charging dock is easy to set up and plug in. The drivers from your smartphone are installed instantly once you plug it in, and it’s a pretty seamless installation.
The design of the charging dock is pretty neat. It has certain piano black areas, but also matte black. It’s not overly heavy, but it certainly got some weight to it. The dock itself is not adjustable in any way, however, I feel like the angle the phone is standing in is sufficient for most folk. The charging dock also have rubber surface on the bottom to prevent slipping. Now, even though the dock itself is not adjustable with the angles and all, where you place the phone is adjustable. The USB tip can be angled back and forth to a certain extent. This means that even the most thick cases can fit into the docking space.
As you may have guessed, you need to connect the charging dock to the computer. For some reason I had issues connecting the USB cord with the charging dock. With some tweaking I managed. Despite this minor detail, I really liked the charging dock. Even though you can’t adjust the angle, it doesn’t really matter too much. It’s a great angle and it allows you to see the whole display in a clear manner.
That being said, I think the charging goes a bit slower than with the standard charger you get with the phone. This might not be a big deal, but the whole point is for it to charge your phone while having it standing on your desk. If it had charged faster it would have been a great device to recommend. Knowing that the charging speed is rather slow, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this product. If you, however, want a dock so you can easily access your texts and transfer files between your phone and computer, then I definitely think you should get it.

Twelve South MacBook Pro 13 with Retina Leather Case
So a new MacBook Pro has been released, called the MacBook Pro 13 with Retina. Retina being Apple’s branding for its high resolution screen technology, the new model has double the amount of pixels meaning it is much brighter and sharper. There are not many other differences between this new MacBook and its predecessor, except being slightly thinner and having flash memory. However, the new MacBook Pro with Retina does come with a fairly hefty price tag of £1,249 and with that in mind you will need a good quality case to keep it protected. This is where Twelve South comes in. Read More…
iPhone 5′s iZZi Orbit Camera Case Looks Awesome
A special case for iPhone 5 is now available for pre-ordering. The camera case is called iZZi Orbit and comes with a price tag of £199.99. The thing that’s really cool about the camera case is that the three lenses can give your photos a completely different look.
The first lens is called a fish eye lens and gives you a bubble like look to your images. The second lens gives you the ability to fit more image into the photo due to its wide angled lens, a total of 35% more image! The final lens, which is a telephoto lens, gives you the ability to double the distance you see in your images. The quality of the photos remain.
In addition to the cool lenses, the camera case also has a nice grip, as seen in the photo above. It is a bit more pricey than normal iPhone 5 cases, but it also transforms the iPhone into a compact camera. If you’re not liking the white color, there’s both black and red available as well.
