Ubisoft is not wasting any time  and has reported that 3 Assassin’s Creed games are currently in development.  Company CEO Yves Guillemot revealed this during E3.

“We are making sure the teams who are creating the different iterations have enough time – two years, three years, so that they can take risk and they can change the concept enough so that it can be appealing and fresh,” Guillemot told Kotaku.

We’ll assume that one of the games are Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.  The other two are pretty much up in the airs, but a fifth game doesn’t seem implausible nor does some type kind of spin-off.
