Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Due “Late 2013″ for PC, Mac, Linux
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will be released sometime in “late 2013″ for PC, Mac and Linux. The game does not come with multiplayer, but that might be added further down the line.
“We tried to give different storylines to the characters, tried to work with different emotions – not just being crazy or like a psychopath,” Dennaton co-founder Denis Wedin said. “We tried to give them other backstories.” Wrong Number tackles deep feelings and character motivations, but it isn’t a complete break from its Hotline Miami roots, Wedin stressed:
Microsoft Rids Xbox One of “Always Online” and DRM Restriction
Microsoft has apparently listened to the “feedback from the community”. The company has changed major things that nagged gamers and non-gamers alike. Among other things, the company removed the “always online” requirement on the console. They’ve also changed the policy surrounding used games. Downloaded games can also be played offline.
“As a result of feedback from the Xbox community, we have changed certain policies for Xbox One,” Microsoft wrote on its official web site.
“An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games,” Mattrick wrote. “After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.”
”Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today. There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.”
In addition to that, they’ve also confirmed there’s no regional restrictions on the console. To summarize, the following changes have been put into effect:
- An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.
- Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.
Now, does this make you want to get the Xbox One?
Kingdom Hearts III Staff Outlined by Famitsu
The staff responsible for the development of Kingdom Hearts III has been outlined by Famitsu. The game is of course directed by Tetsuya Nomura, like we’ve previously known. It’s being co-directed by Tai Yasue, and produced by Rie Nishi. Yoko Shimomura is composing the music.
The game will serve as the last episode in the “Dark Seeker” chapter and will represent the final battle with Xehanort. The collection of worlds is currently being decided on. Kingdom Hears III is a sequel to Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
Nomura couldn’t deny that we might end up playing as both Riku and Kairi. Perhaps that will serve as some type of multiplayer of the game.

Adam Orth is slated to speak at GDC Next. The former Microsoft creative director now own his own Orthnation consultancy. The speech he’ll present is called “Mob Rules: The Destructive Power of Opinion and Online Community“.
I suppose someone can’t “deal with it”.
He will of course also share his personal online experiences which made him leave Microsoft. During the speech he’ll also hope to ”inspire developers as a community to rebuild the foundation of online and community through positive academic, communal and mechanical revolution.”
