Lenovo Reveals 15-inch ThinkPad S531 Ultrabook
Lenovo has revealed their 15-inch ThinkPad S531 Ultrabook. The Windows 8 laptop comes with a 15.6-inch, lay-flat LCD and a large keyboard. The ThinkPad features Lenovo OneLink technology which allows for easy connection to the ThinkPad OneLink Dock using only a single cable for dedicated video, additional USB 3.0 ports and gigabit Ethernet, all while powering the system.
The device is powered with an Intel 3rd generation Core with up to nine hours of battery life. With the possibility to have 10GB of memory and 500 GB of storage. The press release mentions that 10GB model (2GB soldered + 8GB in slot) will be available with Full HD only in July.
The price for the laptop is £575 (exc VAT).
Crunchyroll Streaming Oreimo 2 OVA Episodes This August
Crunchyroll will be streaming Oreimo 2‘s OVA this coming August. The 3 OVA episodes will be limited to a 2-week engagement from the 17th to the 31st. Those members with a premium membership will be able to view the episodes immediately. The free users will be able to view the episodes one week afterwards.
The downside is that the episodes will be available for viewing for all countries except for these: Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Algeria, Monaco, and Tunisia.

Metal Max 4: Moonlight Diva Announced for 3DS
Metal Max 4: Moonlight Diva is basically a “Mad Max role playing game with vehicle combat.” The series takes place in a post apocalyptic world with an open ended gameplay and combat dogs. The game drops this Fall for Nintendo 3DS. Kadokawa Games will be publishing the title.
Oculus Rift Lands $16 Million in Investments
Oculus Rift has received $16 million in investments from first round of investor funding. The investment comes from Spark Capital, Matrix Partners, Founders Fund and Formation 8. It’s a separate funding from the Kickstarter which sought $250,000 and concluded with $2.4 million in September.
Spark founder Santo Politi and Matrix general partner Antonio Rodriguez are now on the board of directors for Oculus Rift.
“In this business, there are only a few rare companies that can so perfectly embody the future you read about in science fiction novels,” Rodriguez says in a press release. “What Palmer, Brendan and the team are building at Oculus so closely matches the Metaverse, we had to be part of it. Working with them to get this platform to market at scale will be enormously exciting.”
CD Projekt RED’s Kraków Studio Focusing on Smaller Project
CD Projekt RED‘s Kraków studio will be focusing on two smaller projects, about 20 hours each. The newly announced studio will consist of a core team of about 20 people. CD Project RED’s managing director Adam Badowski confirmed the news to Gamasutra:
“This July we are opening an office in Krakow. As we informed in our strategy outlook some time ago, aside from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077, the studio aims to develop two smaller (approximately 20h of gameplay) premium quality titles. Consisting of 20 people, the core team in Krakow will be responsible for developing one of these games.”
Gears of War: Judgment ‘Lost Relics’ DLC Announced
A new DLC for Gears of War: Judgment has been announced. The upcoming DLC “Lost Relics” will be released in June. It comes with four new maps, a new single objective gametype, new armor and new weapon skins. Maps Flythrough Videos: Ward - Checkout - Museum - Lost City.
“Breakthrough is a single-objective gametype that features two teams with very distinct roles: one team has possession of a flag that they must deliver to a set location; the opposing team has a purely defensive role and unlimited resources.

Half of IO Interactive’s Staff Fired, New Hitman Title in Development
IO Interactive will see major changes the coming days. Hannes Seifert, the former Production Director for 3 years at the studio, will take over the position of Studio Head at IO. The studio will re-focus itself and is currently developing a new AAA Hitman project. In focusing solely on this title, they’ve been forced to cancel other projects and cut the workforce in half.
Those affected will be relocated to other positions if possible. The studio is also reaching out to other companies to find new positions for the affected team members. The full statement can be read below:
“We are making significant changes at IO Interactive as we align our business against a changing and challenging market. Hannes Seifert, formerly Production Director for 3 years at the studio, will take over the position of Studio Head at IO.
The studio will focus resolutely on the future vision for the Hitman franchise and is in pre-production on a new AAA Hitman project. However we have taken the difficult decision to cancel other studio projects and initiatives at IO and reduce the workforce in this studio, which will impact almost half of the employees currently at IO, as we make internal adjustments to face the challenges of today’s market.
For those affected, we are extremely grateful for the hard work which they have contributed, and where it’s possible and appropriate to relocate staff to open positions at other studios within the group, we will try to do so.We are also reaching out to other companies for outplacement opportunities. Virtual Sex Game “Wicked Paradise” Announced for Oculus Rift
The first virtual sex game for Oculus Rift has been announced. The upcoming title is called Wicked Paradise which makes you a lot more immersed in the “story” than before. The video game is described as the following:
- Imagine playing Leisure Suit Larry but instead of watching a screen, you are inside the game.
- Imagine the world and its inhabitants look highly realistic.
- Imagine walking into a bar in Wicked Paradise, noticing a beautiful lady, talking to her, and seducing her.
- Imagine playing your cards right and having passionate wild sex with her.
- Imagine all this in high quality, immersive virtual reality.
The game apparently launches sometime in 2014.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Drops This November
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will be released to the Nintendo 3DS this coming November. IGN reports the release date has been confirmed to sometime in November, instead of a “Winter” arrival. The European release is still vague and has not been changed from “towards the end of the year”.
In the game we take control of Link, as per usual. One of the interesting features is how he can turn into a painting and walk around obstacles by merging with the wall.
