From Harvest Moon creator Yasuhiro Wada we’ve learned that his Nintendo 3DS game, “Project Happiness” has officially been dubbed Hometown Story.
Hometown Story apparently features players running their own store in a small town. A fairy will apparently be assisting the player with his duties. The more successful the shop becomes, the larger clientele it receives. As a player you can even befriend some of them. At the end of the game you will be able to grant some of them one of seven wishes.
The team consist of Atsuko Nishida, who is responsible for the character designs. Nobuo Uematsu, known for his work in Final Fantasy and The Last Story, will provide the music. Hometown Story comes from Toybox Inc., but the studio doesn’t serve as a development studio per say. Instead they hire developers to make the stories come alive.
Natsume and Rising Star Games will bring the game to North American and Europe respectively. The game will drop sometime in 2o13.

As a big fan of the Harvest Moon series of games and Yasuhiro Wada – it’s really good to see a new game coming from that stable of ‘dev’ talent. Very excited!
