PlayStation 2‘s production has ceased.
It didn’t come as a shock since the PS2′s production was discontinued in Japan last month. Nor did it come as a surprise since the console is in fact 12 years old. The console has stood for a few of the best games ever created, at least in my book. In its lifetime, the console sold 150 million units since its launch in 2000. It has also sold over 1.5 billions of software.
This is truly the end of an era.
