Valve’s Mystery Console May Be Linux-Based
One of the rumors circulating Valve‘s rumored console is that it may be Linux-based.
According to a NeoGAF user, Ben Krasnow, a Valve employee, spoke at a conference in Germany this past December. So far it seems that the console will be based off of Linux rather than Windows. The main reason is that the console is supposed to be easy to use for developers, which Linux is due to the fact it offers an open source code. It is also said that the console will launch this year.
This is further supported due to Gabe Newell‘s dislike towards Windows 8.
